Elon Musk's Tesla has received the hardest blow in the last few weeks as a global protest erupted against the vehicle brand while the target of the protesters is Elon Musk, owing to his overarching influence over the US government. Reacting to a post that cited Elon Musk's 2022 social media post that said Elon Musk predicted it all, Musk Saturday wrote: 'Like clockwork'.
What did Musk predict in 2022? In that post, Elon Musk announced his break up with the Democrats and his support for the Republican Party. "In the past I voted Democrat, because they were (mostly) the kindness party. But they have become the party of division & hatre, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican. Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold..." Elon Musk wrote on May 19, 2022.
Why Tesla is being targeted by vandalism
As the head of the Department of Government Efficiency, Elon Musk has been axing government jobs with his chainsaw. Thousands of federal employees have been asked to resign voluntarily while several agencies face shutdown as Elon Musk and his team find no significance of these people and these government agencies. Elon Musk called Social Security a ponzi scam and as he aims to weed out the fraud in the SSA, US citizens are scared that Elon Musk would make cuts in SS payments.
Hundreds of Tesla cars have been set on fire while other Tesla properties have been vandalized by the protesters. The Trump administration announced that Tesla arsonists would be charged with domestic terrorism.
Elon Musk expressed shock over this violence and said he never did any violence to anyone. But he is more worried about the people behind the Tesla Takedown protest, the people who put their money behind taking down Tesla, he said.
