Diddy's kids break silence on 'horrific conspiracy theories' about their late mother

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ children broke their silence on Tuesday following his recent arrest on sex crime charges , but they chose not to address the accusations against their father.

Instead, Combs’ children issued a statement condemning the “horrific conspiracy theories” circulating about their late mother, Kim Porter , who was the disgraced hip-hop mogul’s ex-partner.

“We have seen so many hurtful and false rumours circulating about our parents, Kim Porter and Sean Combs’ relationship, as well as about our mum’s tragic passing, that we feel the need to speak out,” Quincy Brown and Christian, Jessie, and D’Lila Combs wrote in a joint statement shared on their Instagram accounts on Tuesday night.

Porter, a former model, and Combs were in an on-and-off relationship from 1994 until 2007. During their time together, they had a son, Christian, who is now 26, and twin daughters, Jessie and D’Lila, now 17.

Porter’s first child, Quincy, aged 33, was born from her previous marriage to singer Al B. Sure! Combs later adopted Quincy when he was three years old.

The children’s statement follows the release of a typo-ridden memoir, which claims to have been written by Porter before her sudden death in 2018 at the age of 47 due to lobar pneumonia.

The siblings criticised the so-called memoir, a 59-page book self-published on 6th September under a pseudonym by a self-described investigative journalist, as entirely fake.

“Claims that our mum wrote a book are simply untrue. She did not. And anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves,” their statement read.

The purported memoir, titled “Kim’s Lost Words: A journey for justice, from the other side…”, currently occupies the number one spot on Amazon’s Best Sellers list. It is priced at £20 and is attributed to an author named Jamal T. Millwood, a name linked to an alias used by Tupac according to conspiracy theorists who claim he is still alive.

The book’s author told Rolling Stone he wasn’t certain of its authenticity, and it, along with accusations of domestic violence by Combs—including allegations from his ex, singer Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura—has fuelled speculation and conspiracy theories on social media about Porter’s untimely death.

Porter's children were quick to address these rumours in their statement.

“While it has been incredibly difficult to reconcile how she could be taken from us so soon, the cause of her death has long been established. There was no foul play,” they wrote.

They also criticised those propagating the rumours, stating, “We are deeply saddened that the world has made a spectacle of what has been the most tragic event of our lives. Our mother should be remembered for the beautiful, strong, kind, and loving woman she was. Her memory should not be tainted by horrific conspiracy theories.”

The children made no comment on the charges their father currently faces while he remains detained at the Metropolitan Detention Centre in Brooklyn.

Combs was arrested last week on charges of racketeering conspiracy , sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

He pleaded not guilty, but was denied bail. The charges stem from allegations of sex abuse that took place at the height of his career in the 1990s and early 2000s.
