Meanwhile, during a recent rally in Tucson, Arizona, Trump has been showering praise on Lake, giving her a new nickname. Praising her stance on border issues, Trump referred to her as “Border Kari Lake.” He said, “She’s tough on the border, so from now on I’m going to call her Border Kari Lake. She’s a fantastic person... tough, tough, tough on the border.”
Trump reiterated the nickname later in his speech, saying, “Border Kari Lake, thank you. I’m giving her a take, and when I give people takes, it stays. She’s going to be great.” Lake is running for the Arizona Senate seat currently held by Kyrsten Sinema.
