Two Marquette University students were killed and others injured in a crash in Milwaukee on Friday evening. Police said the 41-year-old driver involved was arrested.
The crash happened around 5 pm near 27th and St. Paul. According to Milwaukee police, the man crashed into a vehicle carrying six people, reported FOX6 News.
Two passenger, 20-year-old Noah Snyder of New York and 19-year-old Scott Michaud of Ohio , died at the scene from their injuries. The other passengers were treated at the scene and at hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries.
Both were members of Marquette University’s men’s lacrosse team, according to the school’s website.
“We grieve with the students’ families and friends, as well as faculty, staff and fellow students here on campus who were touched by these students during their time in our community. I ask that you keep the families in your prayers,” said Marquette University President Kimo Ah Yun.
The university said counseling and pastoral support will be made available to students, staff, and faculty.
